With reference to commemorative events, these are undertaken in the main by local stakeholders supported by local authorities or directly by my Department. No State-led ceremonial events were undertaken by my Department during this period. The Deputy should note that the Department allocated €10,000 to each Local Authority in both 2019 and 2020 to develop their own commemorative programmes, many of which include commemorative events. Details of all events can be found on www.decadeofcentenaries.com. If the Deputy has a query in relation to any specific event, I will arrange for the details to be provided.
