To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of bridge and level crossing strikes and Luas and vehicle crashes that occurred in 2018, 2019 and to date in 2020; the number of each that led to a prosecution; and if an anonymised list will be provided of the prosecutions including individuals and companies. As the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. However, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.

The issues raised are operational matters for Iarnród Éireann and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to both for direct reply.
