To ask the Minister for Health the number of tests for Covid-19 carried out each week since 1 June 2020; the number of persons engaged in testing each week; the number that were positive each week; the average time each week between testing and the result being made known to the person tested; the steps taken to increase the number of tests being carried out and the speed by which results are known; if the HSE has examined different types of testing to detect the disease to ensure Ireland is using the most effective test system at this time; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
