To ask the Minister for Health the arrangements that have been made with the United Kingdom for residents in Northern Ireland who hold Irish passports in applying for a EHIC card in view of the fact that they cannot apply through the HSE as they do not have a PPS number (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. Arrangements for European Health Insurance Cards remain in place until the end of the transition period. The Government of Ireland continues to recognise the importance placed on continued access to the European Health Insurance Card by residents of Northern Ireland and continues to monitor developments on this closely as part of the discussions between the EU and UK on the future relationship.
