247. To ask the Minister for Finance the estimated full-year cost in 2021 of abolishing the local property tax and replacing the funding with central funds; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18757/20]

Assuming the current system continues to operate as in 2020, Local Property Tax (LPT) would be expected to collect €485 million in 2021. These receipts would be lost if LPT was abolished.
