Emergency Works Scheme

To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if she will review the decision not to grant emergency aid to a school (details supplied) in view of the fact that there are genuine concerns that the school may not reopen in September 2020 due to health and safety concerns; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The procedures relating to the Emergency Works Scheme provide that a school authority can issue an appeal of any initial decision under the scheme. The school can simply write to emergency_works@education.gov.ierequesting this appeal be considered. Any such appeal will be treated as a matter of urgency.
