688. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he has considered allowing persons over 70 years of age to renew their driver licence online in view of the ongoing threat of Covid-19. [13008/20]

Applicants over 70 years may be able to avail of the online service to renew their driving licence, if they have a Public Service Card.

The Road Safety Authority continues to work on expanding the online facility to accommodate all driving licence and learner permit application types.
