1215. As mortgages under the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) and the Capital Loan and Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) are between local authorities and the relevant AHBs, information on the position of the mortgages is not held by my Department. However, my Department is currently working with the Irish Council for Social Housing (ICSH) regarding the longer-term treatment of properties that are exiting their mortgage term so that the properties are maintained for long-term for social use. There is a shared position between my Department and the ICSH to maintain such properties for long-term public housing.
