63. To ask the Minister for Finance the number of applications for loans to Home Building Finance Ireland since its establishment; the number of loan approvals; the number of loan drawdowns; the cash value of the applications, approvals and drawdowns; and the number of units of accommodation involved in the applications, approvals and drawdowns to date. The details sought by the Deputy are set out in the following table for the period 28 January 2019 to 19 May 2020.

In relation to the cash value and the number of units of accommodation identified at the applications stage, for a variety of reasons these numbers can vary significantly from the applications finally considered by HBFI and therefore I am advised by HBFI they are not in a position to provide these numbers as they could be considered as a comparator to the approved numbers when in many cases they will not accurately represent the final application considered.
