To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if her Department or agencies working under its aegis plan on updating guidelines to foster carers and residential settings further to the publication of the Roadmap for Reopening Society and Business; and if so, the details of the comprised guidelines. The Deputy is referring to an operational matter for Tusla, the Child and Family Agency. I have therefore referred the matter to Tusla, and asked that a direct response be provided to the Deputy.

To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if there is a mechanism in place for birth parents whose children are in foster care and who are of the view that their access rights to their child are being unduly impeded upon by Covid-19 restrictions to voice their concerns; and the decision making criteria in place under such a mechanism.
