350. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if members of the PSNI who are citizens of this State and reside primarily here are permitted to carry their PSNI-issued firearms across the Border when off duty in view of the fact that PSNI officers are permitted to carry their issued firearms while off duty in Northern Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Any application to possess a firearm in this jurisdiction is examined having regard to the provisions of the Firearms Acts 1925 to 2009.
