I am advised that the person concerned was found capable of work on the 1st August 2019 and her Illness Benefit claim was subsequently stopped from the 10th August 2019.

The person concerned appealed this decision, and the Department was notified by the Social Welfare Appeals Office on the 11th December 2019 that the appeal had been allowed, and the person concerned was medically unfit for work.

The Illness Benefit claim from the person concerned has been reinstated from the date that it stopped, the 10th August 2019. Arrears of €3755.50 have issued to her bank account paying her fully up to date, and she is currently medically certified until the 29th May 2020.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
