To ask the Minister for Health if the home share legislation and regulations drafted by the home share national expert group in 2016 have been considered; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that persons availing of the service are experiencing inequity in view of the fact that home sharing arrangements do not have the same protections as that of those providing foster care; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The final report of the National Expert Group on 'Home Sharing in Intellectual Disability Services in Ireland' was published by the HSE in October 2016.
I have requested the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy with regard to the recommendations made by the Group.
