125. To ask the Minister for Finance if the Revenue Commissioners are issuing a statement of case to the Tax Appeals Commission in respect of the case of a person (details supplied); if so, when it will be shared with the Tax Appeals Commission in view of the fact the expected dates have been passed; the reason for the month-long delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Revenue that the Statement of Caseto which the Deputy is referring issued to the Tax Appeals Commission on 30 October 2019. Revenue have also confirmed to me that a copy issued to the person in question on the same date.
Revenue advise that the initial delay in preparing the Statement of Case arose due to the higher than usual volumes of correspondence received by the relevant Unit in recent weeks.
