1008. To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs further to Parliamentary Question No. 449 of 15 October 2019, if a report (details supplied) by the HSE will be published and investigated in view of the fact an audit of 7,500 minors has now been completed; if Tusla is investigating this matter; the number of litigations active against the State in relation to the matter; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will be aware that the report in question has been commissioned by the Health Service Executive, and that decisions with regard to the possible release or publication would be a matter for that body.
My Department is not aware of litigation against the State in relation to this matter.
I have requested Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, to respond directly to the Deputy with regard to the elements of her question that relate to Tusla.
