Qualified Child Increase Payments

To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the estimated full-year cost of increasing the qualified child increase in each age bracket by €2, €3, €4 and €5, respectively, taking into account increases announced in budget 2020 in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The costings sought by the Deputy are detailed in the following table:

It should be noted that these costings are subject to change in the context of emerging trends and associated revision of the estimated numbers of beneficiaries for 2020.
