In 2016 I appointed a Special Adviser and a Press Adviser to my Department.

I appointed a temporary Adviser on 1^stJuly 2019 due to the absence of my Press Adviser for an extended period of sick leave.

My advisers are remunerated on the Principal Officer standard pay scale (PPC) in accordance with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform’s ‘Instruction to Personnel Officers – Ministerial Appointments to the 32^ndDáil’, which provides guidelines for the appointment of Special Advisers.

The Minister of State in my Department does not have a Special Adviser.
