To ask the Minister for Health the status of the plan to provide prefabricated theatres at Merlin Park Regional Hospital, Galway; when the decision was first taken to go for a prefabricated solution; when tenders were sought, received and a preferred tender selected; the original timeline for completion; the current timeline; the projected capacity of the new facility over the current capacity at the hospital; the current capacity and the number of patients treated to date in 2019; the interim measures being taken to make up for the shortfall in capacity; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
