1237. To ask the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the situation of a hospital (details supplied) in County Cork facing closure; if his attention has been further drawn to the fact patients will have to be accommodated within a directly funded HSE facility; if the appropriate funding requirement will be made available to retain the hospital; and if the current financial model of the hospital will be examined to ensure viability of same. As this is a service matter I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
