407. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of persons aged 65 years and older signing on for a jobseeker's payment due to the fact that they are not eligible for the State pension; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30414/19]

I am advised by my Department that at the end of June there were 5,266 aged 65 years of age and older in receipt of a jobseeker's payment.
