To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 223 of 21 May 2019, the number of tenders received in relation to the further study of flooding in the area by the closing date of 27 June 2019; when a contractor is likely to be chosen for the project; when work will commence and finish; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Kildare County Council that the closing date for receipt of tenders was the 27th June 2019 and these will be assessed and evaluated over the coming days. The Council envisage that the study of flood risk in the Hazelhatch area will be completed by the end of 2019.
