97. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the average length of time individual prisoners spent in safety observation cells and close supervision cells from 1 May 2018 to 30 April 2019; and the longest duration of time spent in each type of cell over the period. [24702/19]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 96 and 97 together.

I am advised by my officials in the Irish Prison Service that it has not been possible in the timeframe available to collate the information sought. I will revert to the Deputy as soon as this information has been compiled.
