41. To ask the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the number of pilots and air traffic controllers who are due to graduate in both 2019 and 2020, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22857/19]

The military authorities have provided the table below which displays the information sought by the Deputy.

*Pilots that were due to qualify in early 2020 will now graduate in Q4 of 2019.
The Government remains committed to maximising recruitment to increase the strength of the Air Corps and the Permanent Defence Force (PDF) overall and to retaining the capacity of the PDF to operate effectively across all roles.
