233. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if his Department has an operating language scheme in accordance with the Official Languages Act 2003; and the date on which such a scheme was introduced. [15495/19]

The Department of Justice and Equality has an operating Irish Language Scheme under Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. A PDF copy of the Scheme can be accessed at the following link: .

The Scheme, which was confirmed by the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, commenced with effect from 30 June 2006.
