The person concerned’s Rent Supplement application is under consideration and it is expected that he will receive a decision on his application within the next 5 working days.

The person concerned was advised that he may have a long-term housing need as determined by Dublin City Council, and that he should apply for the Housing Assistant Payment (HAP) Scheme in the first instance.  It is the Department's understanding that he was referred to HAP on 26thFebruary 2019.

I trust this clarifies matters for the Deputy.
