1239. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if persons in receipt of a State pension have the option to receive the payment on a monthly basis; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12799/19]

At present all State pension's are paid weekly except where the payment is to an account in a financial institution outside the State. There is no consideration at this time to change the timing of these payments.
