To ask the Minister for Finance the number of Irish citizens living here that do not pay income tax; the percentage of wage earners living here that do not pay income tax; the number and the percentage of wage earners living here that do not pay the universal social charge; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Revenue that taxpayers are not required to declare their citizenship on Income Tax returns, therefore statistics relating specifically to Irish citizens are unavailable.
