To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the provision within the education system for a derogation from set exam time allowed for students with additional needs, learnings difficulties and diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder or Asperger's syndrome; the guidelines for allowing schools to grant extra time during mock exams and final exams; the deadline for applying for a derogation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations.
