To ask the Minister for Health the status of the planned €7.85 million national rehabilitation unit at Roscommon County Hospital, which was approved in 2015 for a 20-bed unit to be managed in conjunction with the service in Dún Laoghaire; when the design phase will be completed; when construction is expected to commence; if funding for the project is included in the HSE capital plan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Health Service Executive is developing its Capital Plan for 2019 which will determine the projects that can progress in 2019 having regard to the limited available capital funding, the number of large national capital projects currently underway and the relevant priority of each project.
As the Health Service Executive is responsible for the delivery of individual healthcare infrastructure projects such as those referred to in the Deputy's question, I have asked the HSE to respond to you directly in relation to the current position of each project listed.
