To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of inspections for cabotage activity of foreign HGV operators carried out by the RSA and An Garda Síochána in each of the years 2016 to 2018; the number of prosecutions arising from such inspections; the countries of origin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The enforcement of cabotage regulations is a matter for the Road Safety Authority. This question has been forwarded to the RSA for their direct attention and reply. An Garda Síochána is under the authority of the Minister for Justice and Equality.
