To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government his views on the application by an organisation (details supplied) for a change of use of public spaces in an area in order to provide additional social housing units; the details of the proposed rental scheme that will be offered to new tenants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am precluded under section 30 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, from exercising any power or control in relation to any particular case with which a planning authority or An Bord Pleanála is or may be concerned, except in specified circumstances, which do not apply in this case. As a result, I cannot seek to influence the outcome of a planning case and cannot make any comment in relation to individual cases.
