To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number of ballots undertaken under section 48 of the Environmental (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 since its commencement; the number of ballots that have been passed in circumstances in which the ballots have occurred; the number rejected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Section 48 of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 has not been commenced. It is intended to commence section 48 at the same time as the commencement of a related provision within the Local Government Bill 2018, following the enactment of that Bill.
