To ask the Minister for Health when a patient that is in long-term care in an institution needs to attend an outpatients appointment in a general hospital, the person or body responsible for taking the person to and from the appointment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
