When work commenced on the site referred to by the Deputy, concerns were raised by local residents regarding noise from outside of working hours. The building contract and the planning conditions allow for works on site between the hours of 7am - 7pm.

Following discussions with South Dublin County Council (SDCC), the Contractor amended work practices to ensure no works were taking place after 7pm.

Local residents then raised concerns that works were commencing before 7am. The Contractor strongly refuted this. Following these complaints the contractor installed 24hr CCTV monitoring and ensured that the main gates to the site were not opened before 7am. Following further complaints by some residents that works were happening in advance of 7am, the Contractor shared CCTV footage with SDCC which confirmed that there was no access to the site in advance of 7am.

The Contractor is continuing to monitor the situation and is actively liaising with SDCC as appropriate.
