235. To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of recent reports conducted by the Ombudsman for Children into the Oberstown detention centre; when those reports were commissioned; the number published; when each was published; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Oberstown that the Ombudsman for Children visits Oberstown Children Detention Campus and meets with children on a regular basis. The Ombudsman for Children undertakes investigations under the Ombudsman for Children Act 2002. The Ombudsman has undertaken one such investigation in relation to Oberstown and I am advised by Oberstown that it recently received a copy of a draft report of this investigation.
