As the question relates to services issues I have forwarded the question to the Health Service Executive (HSE). The role of the HSE is to provide multi-disciplinary team approach, which includes the provision of health and personal supports required by people with Huntington's disease and incorporates hospital and primary care and community services.

The HSE funds a range of community services and supports to enable each individual with a disability, including persons with Huntington's disease, to achieve his or her full potential and maximize independence, including living as independently as possible. Services are provided either directly by the HSE or through a range of voluntary service providers. Voluntary agencies provide the majority of services in partnership with and on behalf of the Health Service Executive. These include Assisted Living Services, Therapy Services, Respite Care and the provision of Medical/surgical Aids and Appliances.
