To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 113 of 14 November 2018, if he will address specifically the substantial disadvantage placed on privately operated crèches which are competing against State supported crèches paying no commercial rates; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to my reply to Question No. 113 of 14 November 2018, which sets out the position on this matter.  There are no proposals under consideration for a discount of commercial rates for childcare service providers.
