128. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 141 of 26 June 2018, if the OPW and the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht have completed their review; if the phase 2 restoration works to Maynooth Castle is included for funding; if not, if it is being considered under other funding mechanisms; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A review of the national monuments portfolio work priorities for 2019 has recently been undertaken by the Office of Public Works and the Department of Culture Heritage and the Gaeltacht.  Although this process is still ongoing, it is nevertheless clear that the proposed Phase 2 project at Maynooth is not a priority and will not be progressing.  The proposal is not being considered under any other funding scheme.
