170. To ask the Minister for Finance the estimated cost of increasing the capital acquisitions tax group A tax-free threshold by €10,000, €20,000 and €30,000, respectively, in each budget over the next five years. [44672/18]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the estimated cost of a €10,000 increase in the Capital Acquisitions Tax Group A threshold is set out in the post-Budget 2019 Ready Reckoner at link.
Larger increases above €10,000 can be estimated on a pro-rata basis from the 2019 information in the Ready Reckoner and projected costs for years beyond 2019 are not available at this point.
