To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of applications for disability allowance approved and refused in each of the past eight years to date; the number of applications originally refused and subsequently appealed resulting in the overturning of an original decision in the same period; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The number of disability allowance (DA) applications received, allowed and disallowed or withdrawn from 2011 to date in 2018 is set out in the following table.
