To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the exact amount of Exchequer funding his Department has allocated in each of the years and expended since June 2016 on upgrading infrastructure at Dublin and Rosslare ports in order to prepare for the possibility of the UK becoming a third country with the EU and the increased export certification sanitary and phytosanitary controls required. My Department has been engaged in extensive consultations with the Office of Public Works to identify additional infrastructural requirements in ports and airports. This engagement process is ongoing and includes facilities for sanitary and phytosanitary checks.

To date my Department has had no expenditure in relation to this process.
