To ask the Minister for Rural and Community Development the grants announced under the LEADER program in County Mayo from 1 January 2017 to 30 June 2018; the amount of each grant referred to drawn down as of 30 September 2018, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. LEADER forms part of Ireland's Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and has a total budget of €250 million over that period. 

Table 1 provides details of the grants approved under the LEADER programme in County Mayo from 1 January 2017 to 30 June 2018, along with details of the amount drawn down in respect of each grant approval as of 30 September 2018.

Expenditure on the projects is drawn down as these projects are implemented and the promoters submit claims for payment to the Local Action Groups which administer the LEADER programme locally.

Grant funding can be drawn down on a phased basis and a maximum of five phased payments are permitted. The approved works must be fully completed by the project promoter prior to the final payment.
