The information requested by the Deputy is available in the table.

The improvement and maintenance of regional and local roads is the statutory responsibility of the relevant local authority in accordance with the provisions of Section 13 of the Roads Act 1993. Works on those roads are funded from the Council's own resources supplemented by State road grants.  Details of the regional and local road grant allocations and payments to local authorities are outlined in the regional and local road grant booklets which are available in the Dáil Library.

The Sports Capital Programme (SCP) is operated by my Department and provides grants to assist in the development or refurbishment of sports facilities and the provision of sports equipment.Grants are available to sports clubs, voluntary and community groups, national governing bodies of sport, and local authorities.  My Department also operates the Local Authority Swimming Pools Programme.  Details of all allocations and payments, under both schemes,  for the years referred to by the Deputy are available on my Department’s website http://www.dttas.ie/sport/english/sports-capital-programme.
