286. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 280 of 23 January 2018 and 292 of 15 May 2018, the number of persons who have been killed in road traffic collisions involving a learner driver who was driving unaccompanied by a qualified driver in which the learner driver did not die; the number of persons who have sustained a serious injury in road traffic collisions in which a learner driver was driving unaccompanied by a qualified driver and the learner driver did not die; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by An Garda Síochána that the following tables set out the numbers of persons who have been killed or seriously injured, respectively, in road traffic collisions involving a learner driver who was driving unaccompanied by a qualified driver in which the learner driver did not die in each of the years 2014 to 2017, and from January to June 2018.
