I wish to advise the Deputy that BusConnects involves a blend of infrastructure and system improvement measures alongside a reconfigured bus network. The initiative aims to transform the current bus system in the Dublin Region.

This programme is part of a wider BusConnects programme for Ireland’s cities, starting in Dublin and rolling out to Galway, Cork and Ireland’s remaining cities.

The estimated cost of the initiative is €2.4 billion, and is inclusive of all costings for changes to physical infrastructure.
