To ask the Minister for Finance if his Department has received the budget 2019 submission from an organisation (details supplied) in respect of the financial difficulties in the sector such as the shortfall in many residential developments' sinking funds, the possible impact this may have in future years on the public purse; the relief which can be given to home owners who own apartments in such developments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has so far received in the order of 200 Pre-Budget Submissions from a wide range of groups and individuals. These are being considered by the relevant officials in the context of Budget and Finance Bill preparation. I can confirm that a submission from the organization in question has been received. However, as the Deputy will be aware, it is not the practice of the Minister for Finance to discuss the details of measures which may be under consideration as part of the Budget and Finance Bill.
