936. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number of vacancies on state boards under the remit of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30589/18]

The following table presents for each State Body under the aegis of my Department the current number of vacancies required to be filled in order to bring board membership to the level required by legislation and the number of appointment processes currently underway.

1An order was made on 29/3/18 increasing the membership of An Bord Pleanála by 1 in order to enable the Board to fulfil its duties and objectives. The order is for a maximum period of 5 years.
2On 19 October 2016 an order was made increasing the number of members of the National Oversight and Audit Commission to 11 for a period of two years in order to enable the efficient and effective discharge of its functions.
3The Water Advisory Body was established on 1st of June 2018; the recruitment process to fill the two vacancies is in preparation.
