I propose to take Questions Nos. 273 to 278, inclusive, together.
The information requested by the Deputy is attached and sets out waiting list data for CT, MRI and US for April 2018. The HSE advises that, at present, the further diagnostic scans requested by the Deputy are not yet captured in this project as part of this pilot. Also attached at the link are details of the hospitals providing the different types of radiological diagnostics.
The HSE advises that a pilot project commenced in 2016 by the HSE Acute Hospitals Division to progress the collection of national radiology waiting list data. The project has been supported by the Radiology Clinical Care Programme and has involved key stakeholders across the system including the National NIMIS Team, Hospital Groups, and the support of the NTPF for data collection and data management expertise.
The HSE further advises that the waiting list data provided should be reviewed in light of the following caveats:
- Data contains urgent, routine and surveillance/planned activity;
- Surveillance/planned activity included may not be exceeding planned date;
- Data is still undergoing validation at NTPF, Hospital and Hospital Group level;
- Data does not take into account local nuances at site level at this point in terms of process etc;
- Data is subject to a developed data profile which is currently being tested.

Caveats for the pilot phase are outlined below and apply to the current datasets
-Data contains urgent, routine, and surveillance/planned activity
-Surveillance/planned activity included may not be exceeding planned date
-Data is still undergoing validation at Hospital and Hospital Group level
-Data does not take into account site level nuance's at site level at this point
-Data is subject to exclusion criterial which is still in draft and is likely to change.
