To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the penalties in place for farmed salmon operators who fail to notify the relevant parties of a fish escape; the relevant parties who should be notified in the event of a salmon escape; the numbers of farmed salmon operators who have been sanctioned for failing to report salmon escapes in each of the years 2007 to 2017 and to date in 2018; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
