To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of persons in receipt of the sheep welfare scheme payment that have received the 2017 balancing payment by county in tabular form; the number that have passed all payment approval checks and are awaiting the 2017 balancing payment; the number in receipt of sheep welfare payments that have yet to receive the 2017 balancing payment by county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In relation to the farmers yet to receive their balancing payments, over 4,200 of the farmers in Table 2 have passed all payment approval checks and will be receiving their balancing payments shortly.  The remaining cases will be processed as a matter of priority.  In many cases, there are issues relating to outstanding sheep census returns which are stopping payment.
